There are so many developments this month that your biggest challenge will be where to look and what to focus on. This is why this can’t be a month where there is a narrow focus or tunnel vision. September is always the month that things will come together on the work front and this year is no exception.
With Jupiter in his last full month in your relationship sector, this is also a defining month for relationship matters.
The final three months of 2017 will see a major changing of the guard and on the two most powerful areas of your chart. Jupiter and Saturn are the most powerful planets in the solar system and are outside the normal march that any year will move through.
These are the planets that define the major thrust in our lives, Jupiter over the course of 13 months and Saturn over a three year period. Until now Jupiter’s thrust has been on the job front and Saturn’s on the financial front, with a three year financial boot camp now drawing to a close.
It is early next month that Jupiter will return to your relationship sector, kicking off your most important relationship year in over a decade, while a major shift towards learning, adventure and knowledge gathering will take place in December. Yet this is already something that on both fronts you’re preparing for. This also puts a lot more focus on work and money matters. In his last full month in your work sector Jupiter is working to gain as much trust on the job front as possible.
At the same time, in his first full month in direct motion in your financial sector, Saturn is working to see you take your power back.
Yet with the Sun always spending the first three weeks of September in a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart and Venus and Mars taking this into October, life can’t be all work and no play. Yet even Jupiter doesn’t want that, for he knows that a balance between work and play is key to maintaining your productivity and creativity.
As Saturn spends his first full month in direct motion in your relationship sector and also moves into the final months of a three year relationship boot camp, he is surrounded by support. Not only that, he is surrounded by the right kind of support.
While there has been support for friendship and relationship building since Saturn returned in 2014, communication support began in May. In Saturn’s final months in retrograde motion this was a chance to give the past and unsaid words a voice. That was when the Sun, Mercury and Mars were the planets pushing things on the communication front, planets that can help you get into and resolve old relationship issues. Venus, not wanting to get her hands dirty, didn’t want a bar of that and didn’t return to your communication sector until just hours after Saturn turned direct.
Even as the planets leave your communication sector more will return to take their place, with support from the communication gods for the rest of Saturn’s stay and beyond. This comes during what is also an important month for matters of the heart, with lucky Jupiter spending his last full month in your romantic sector. However, support is on the way. Venus and Mars, the planets of love and passion won’t even return until after Jupiter leaves, so the best is still to come.
As always, September is an important month for home and family matters, with the Sun always spending the first three weeks of September in your home and family sector. Yet even after that, home will be where the heart is right through to October.
There are a number of camps being set up this month, where groups in different parts of your chart are coming together to support each other, but in very different ways. One group is on the income, work and career fronts, where some stunning developments are taking place.
Saturn, in his first full month in direct motion in your work sector and now moving into his final months, has some exceptional support from income forces. Where last month’s solar eclipse brought the potential for an income breakthrough, the most lucrative weeks run through to Venus’ departure from your income sector on the 20th September.
Yet even then, support between income, work and career forces will continue to evolve for the rest of this year and beyond. In another camp forces on the communication and relationship fronts are coming together. While this might not be immediately noticeable, there are some major preparations in place.
The communication gods are throwing everything they can to ensure the communication lines are open this month and will continue through until later next month. Already they are supporting both planets in your relationship sector, but they are also preparing for massive relationship developments later in the year.
In another camp you have Jupiter working to make home and family matters a priority. In his last full month in your home and family sector Jupiter has a secret agenda, with work/life balance issues likely to be an issue again.
However, due to kick off your luckiest year for love in over a decade early next month, Jupiter’s secret agenda is a balance between work and play and to make your life as love friendly as possible.
Moving into September we are moving into the final four months of the year and it shows. Developments last month have seen an acceleration of what have been this year’s major themes, but at the same time moves behind the scenes to prepare for what lies ahead.
It was last week’s total solar eclipse in Leo that has been an awakening, not only turning this new solar year into a field of new possibilities, but the pursuit of your personal truth. Venus, the planet that gives your heart a voice has been quite crafty, holding back in order to avoid being drowned out by the crowd. Venus didn’t return to Leo until five days after last month’s total solar eclipse and four months after the Sun left, avoiding both the eclipse and your birthday month. This means that while Mars will leave Leo on the 5th September and Mercury will pop back from the 1st September to the 10th September, Venus is here until the 20th September.
With the mundane aspect of your birthday month over and time alone with the North Node, the force behind last month’s solar eclipse and of a fateful sense of direction, this gives your heart a powerful say in where to from here.
In the meantime, what is an important month for income opportunities will gain some extra incentive. It was late last month that Juno’s direct turn on the work front brought the first clues to major new job developments ahead, but Pluto’s direct turn on the 27th September will give you a clearer view. By then you’ll be in the early days of the most lucrative weeks of 2017, with a chance to steer things on the income and work fronts in a lucrative direction.
Whether you are an August or a September born Virgo, until the Sun leaves on the 23rd September this is your birthday month and your chance to claim back your personal truth. If how a new solar year begins is any indication of what kind of year to expect, then there is every reason to be excited.
By the time the Sun returned last month Mercury had already been in Virgo for four weeks and while he will retrograde back out from the 1st September to the 10th September, he’ll return with a chance for a do over. It is while Mercury is gone that Mars will return to Virgo on the 5th September, making his first visit in two years.
Venus’ return on the 20th September means you’ll have a full caste when a New Moon, a few hours later, gives you a chance to commit to your new solar year, the future and the journey ahead. It is what is going on around you that has a buzz of excitement in the air.
There are signs that you’re moving into an important period for all things close to your heart and definitely into a more creative era.
This is also Jupiter’s last full month in your income sector, with luck and expansion focused as much on what he can achieve before he leaves early next month, as he does to the legacy he leaves behind. Because of what he sets up while he is here, often the most lucrative part of Jupiter’s visit is after he leaves.
The Sun will return on the 23rd September and Mercury on the 30th September, but it is Venus and Mars’ return next month that will really give you the Midas touch.
There are two lanes you’re operating in this month. In one lane are life’s ordinary developments and in particular the end of one solar year and the start of another. Yet in the other lane this is Jupiter’s last full month in Libra and this is far beginning and any one month or any one year.
Jupiter has been in Libra since last September, bringing you to the start of a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion. If you were building a house, then the 13 months Jupiter is spending in Libra are the foundations, the parts you don’t see but everything else will depend on. By the time Jupiter leaves on the 11th October he will have been here for almost exactly 13 months to the day, with his last full month your last chance to build for the future or at least be ready to embrace it.
Yet throughout the month the lines between the past, present and future will be blurred. That is because, while Jupiter has you building for the future, to start with you are in the final weeks of your old solar year.
The Sun’s return to Libra on the 23rd September will kick off your birthday month and new solar year, for the first time with Jupiter on board for another 12 years. Neither the Sun nor Mercury, who returns to Libra on the 30th September, will align with Jupiter, but they are here to throw the solar spotlight on his final weeks and this is who he will pass the baton to.
The early weeks of your birthday month and new solar year will overlap Jupiter’s final weeks of his 13 month visit, giving you an empowered start. This is all about finding your truth.
If it feels like you’re waiting for something this month you are and the closer you get to the end of the month the stronger that feeling will become. Your radar will be jumping off the scales when the Moon moves through Scorpio from the 23rd September to the 25th September, making it important to listen to what your instincts and your imagination are telling you.
For what you’re waiting for is lucky Jupiter’s return to Scorpio early next month and the start of a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion. This will be the Moon’s last visit to Scorpio before then and it will also coincide with the start of the month long wind down of your old solar year.
Yet until then there is a lot of month to get through, with a lot happening on the career and income fronts in particular. Saturn is not only spending his first full month in direct motion in your income sector, but due to leave in December, he is ready now to bring things home.
This comes as Venus and Mars are working to capitalise on last month’s total solar eclipse in your career sector, with Mercury even returning for a short double dip visit from the 1st September to the 10th September. Forces on the career front will be cementing things in place, ready to keep things in motion for the long haul.
However, a Full Moon in a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart on the 6th September will make sure life isn’t all work and no play.

It was in the final days of August that you experienced a personal turning point, as Saturn turned direct in Sagittarius. This was a much bigger deal than it may have seemed at the time.
For after all, this was Saturn’s third retrograde phase in as many years. Since Saturn returned to Sagittarius in 2014, he has spent the middle months of each year in retrograde motion, giving you a chance to reflect and pull back. The last two times it was with the knowledge that you would do it all over again the following year, but not this time. Saturn is now on his way out of Sagittarius and when he leaves in December, he won’t be back for another 28 years.
In his first full month in direct motion Saturn is not only taking everything you have learned from the past five months and applying that to a push forward, but everything you have learned over the last three years. These are the foundation years for a new three decade Saturn cycle, with the three years Saturn is spending in Sagittarius a chance to take your power back and find your truth.
In the meantime, life will go on and on the career front in particular you’re both getting career matters up to speed now and preparing for the future. What lies ahead are massive income developments, which the professional gods are all too aware of.
So while the focus this month and again next month is on gaining as much professional traction as possible, the focus is also on steering things in a lucrative direction.
Have you ever had a sneaking suspicion that something big was developing, but you put it down to your imagination, only to say later when you’re proven right that you knew it all along.
Why is it easier to validate our instincts looking back, but we don’t fully trust them looking forward. That’s because it’s always easier to join the dots when you look back. Why this is important, is that as the month progresses you will start to get a sneaking suspicion that there are major new developments ahead and that you are drawing closer towards some major new beginnings.
The reality is you’re right, but the other reality is that you have no idea how big this is set to become. It was Saturn’s direct turn in a nostalgic part of your chart and Juno’s direct turn in Capricorn, within the space of 24 hours late last month that started this.
With Saturn in direct motion he is once more on his way towards Capricorn and this time he won’t be turning back and when he returns in December this will open some major new doors. For the first and only time in your lifetime Saturn and Pluto will meet up in Capricorn and in his final year even Jupiter will become involved. For now, trust your instincts, let your imagination run wild and focus on the things that excite you.
The Sun always spends the first three weeks of September in your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery and this time he has quite a crew with him.
In what is a massively important professional month, you have Mars fuelling a passion for adventure and a hunger for life’s richer experiences from the 5th September.
Personally and professionally, this is a reminder that it’s all about the journey.
After last month’s lunar eclipse in Aquarius and total solar eclipse in your relationship sector, things are not so dramatic this month. However, this is the month when all the benefits will start to show up.
The Moon will move through Aquarius from the 3rd September to the 5th September and coming full circle from last month’s lunar eclipse, this is when the full truth will be revealed. This was a lunar eclipse that was all about finding your personal truth, at a time when other forces were making it all about your relationships.
The Moon will move through during some of the most important relationship days of the year and another standoff might see personal and/or relationship tensions rise. However, once again this is simply the pursuit of a balance between your personal and relationship needs and a greater sense of authenticity on both fronts being policed.
At the time you will have Venus in her early days in your relationship sector, Mars in his final days and Mercury, planet of communication having retrograded back in for a double dip visit. If the Moon wanted to avoid too many oppositions, the timing couldn’t be worse, moving into opposition with Venus, Mercury and Mars.
Yet if the Moon aimed for the best time to once more bring things to a head, then the timing couldn’t be better. Mercury will retrograde back in to your relationship sector from the 1st September to the 10th September and in retrograde motion until 5th September, the planet of communication will be on hand to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice.
All this in what is an important month for money matters, but also for embracing a sense of adventure.
When the Sun left your work sector last August this brought all the planetary activity for the year to a close. But had that been the case this year that would have been a huge let down, with a total solar eclipse just a day before the Sun left. Fortunately that wasn’t the case, with Mars still here, Venus in her early days and Mercury retrograding back in on the 1st September.
With Mars leaving on the 5th September and Mercury only retrograding back in from the 1st September to the 10th September, it’s at the start of the month that work and job matters are getting their biggest push. That’s important because these are also Saturn’s early days in direct motion in your career sector, with the whole tide of your professional year having turned in the later part of August.
It all happened in the same week as the total solar eclipse, with the Sun leaving your work sector the next day, Venus returning three days later and Saturn turning direct in your career sector just hours earlier. What is developing on the job and career fronts will continue for the rest of this year and well into 2018.
At the same time this is always a month where the focus is on your relationships and this year the relationship gods are smiling on you. By the time you get to a New Moon in your relationship sector on the 20th September you will have the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars on board.
This is also an important month for financial matters, with Jupiter spending his last full month in your financial sector. Yet this is more about laying down the foundations for financial growth that will continue long after the planet of luck and expansion leaves early next month.
